What are some good cell-phone apps out? I have an LG Fusic; what sort of programs am I limited to? I would like ones that can integrate with my Desktop PC, or with Google. What are some good productivity tools, some good apps, or even some good timewasters?
I’m pretty happy with VZ Navigator that I just downloaded. It shows me a map to where I’m going and gives me turn-by-turn directions verbally, provided I can keep my Bluetooth in my ear. I realized that I do seem to be going to unfamiliar places a lot more lately, so it can come in real handy. Also, I’ve noticed that the government agency in charge of freeway signs apparently can’t afford to pay their electric bills, because they don’t light all the signs at night anymore. And I’m not just referring to unimportant ones that say “Blubberbottom Academy, next right”, but some of the really important ones that tell you which lane to be in so you don’t end up on your way to Pasadena when you want to go to Culver City.
It’s a little less useful in city driving. It might route you along placid, shady Bustlethorn Ct. and cavalierly tell you to cross a multi-lane, fast moving thoroughfare, or turn left onto it, when there are no stop signs or signals on the thoroughfare. Sorry, no left turns from side streets onto boulevards are going to be happening here. Still, the program will give you detours and recalculate the route as needed. And it certainly beats straining to read an address while you drive by the building.
My favorite one allows me to use RDP to get onto my computer. I love it soooo freaking much. zadesktop is what it is called and it runs on Windows Mobile
