Are there no other Doonsbury fans? I’ve been reading it almost since the beginning (I grew up with it), and have most of the books. Re-reading them, you have the social/political history of America (and elsewhere) for the last 30 years, with all the trends, fads and movements covered in a wryly funny way. While it is sometimes hit-and-miss, it’s always relevant and often scathing in its satire. I think I learned most of my US politics from Doonsbury!
I also like Bloom County, For Better or for Worse, and Foxtrot.
