Inspired by this thread on '80s cartoon themes — I have been struck quite a bit by how hilarious the theme songs are to a lot of cartoons on Nickelodeon and the Disney Channel.

Here’s part of the theme to Phineas and Ferb

I came in to say Phineas and Ferb too - it’s the only one I don’t find intensely irritating.

It always irritates me that my favorite character, Frylock, gets two measly lines in the intro. He’s on top, he’ll rock you like a cop, then it’s Meatwad’s turn.

My husband and I enjoy arguing about the words in the outro. Even though it’s clearly “Dancing is forbidden,” he insists it is “I’ve damp fingerpuppets.”

Venture Bros. and Archer are great homages.

The Simpsons, by Danny Elfman. Yes, it’s an ancient show by now, but still a current first-run network show. One of the classic themes of all time.

Futurama by Christopher Tyng - again, a current show, resurrected by Comedy Central.

The Venture Bros. theme by JG Thirlwell - a very stirring and adventurous piece of music which fits the series well.

The theme from South Park, another classic theme, IMO.

I like Johnny Test’s theme song, but probably mostly because they borrowed heavily from Green Day. Phineas and Ferb is also a good one.
