Ok, I was so addicted to a mouse-intensive game (civilization) over the weekend that now my mouse hand is sore, and has been for 36 hours after stopping.
So now. . . I am looking for ergonomic mice, but am I confused by the selection: the have 3m mousestick, this one-finger mouse, then this ‘vertical’ mouse. Also something called ‘Handshoemouse’.
Has anyone switched over to one of these ergonomic mice?
I find that I get the best fine control with the ball under my thumb rather than trying to roll with the first or middle finger and click with the 2 surrounding fingers.
This model of trackball is able to do very fine motor control movements. I prefer wire to wireless, no batteries to die when I am in a raid or PVPing.
The 3M stick thingy causes thumb pain. The Quill vertical mouse causes shoulder pain.
Some people like trackballs but I do not; guess you just have to try one to find out.
I’ve tried a lot of different mice. The two I have stuck with for several years are the Evoluent Vertical Mouse and the Gyration Air Mouse; I keep them both connected and switch between them.
Oh yeah … and an ergonomic mouse should be wired; the weight of batteries is significant.
