Anything is possible. The first person I thought of was Jimmy Carter because I like what he has to say about human rights, but maybe a younger, more dynamic speaker would be better. Who would you choose?
My first year as an undergrad the speaker was Bill Cosby. Apparently it was a fabulous speech, though I didn’t get to see it.
The year before me was George Bush (not W), but they only managed to get him because his nephew was in the graduating class.
Try to think of someone different, unusual - it can make the graduation memorable.
