Decision at Midnight by the Toasters. Well, almost anything by the Toasters, but that’s probably my favorite song of theirs.
Late reply but: “Wow” by Kylie Minogue and “Jellyhead” - Crush
Pump it Up by Elvis Costello.
I’ve Just Seen A Face by The Beatles
Would I Lie to You by The Eurythmics
Blitzkreig Bop by The Ramones
Ballroom Blitz by Sweet
Should I Stay or Should I Go by The Clash
Land of 1000 Dances by well by just about everybody but the Wilson Picket or J Giles versions are both good
I Want Candy Also by a bunch of people but you can’t go wrong with the Bow Wow Wow version
Yell Fire! by Michael Franti and Spearhead. Might as well warm up their minds, too.
I have some “wakeup” music that I listen to almost every day and from it, “Roam” fits your bill!
OK Go is good, but I have a feeling kids would get a bigger kick out of Invinsible. Depending on how old the kids are, they might well think it’s about robots or superheros.
They Might Be Giants I’m Impressed

Mellowdrone Oh My
I’ve, uh, never heard the original. And I like ska!
Ready to go by Republica
Weapon of Choice by Fatboy Slim
Sunrise by Duran Duran
Lift me Up - Moby
My absolute favorite “Cannot NOT dance when I hear this song” is C&C Music Factory, Gonna Make You Sweat.
Also at the top of the list, also by C&C Music Factory; Just a Touch of Love
I thought about the horrible genre, “Hi-NRG” when I saw the thread title. I hate 99% of the music but Sylvester’s “You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)” makes me appreciate his talent, at least.
The Jacksons’ “Blame It On The Boogie” is a good one. The rap song that samples it, “Get On The Dance Floor” by Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock is really good.
“It Takes Two” by Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock is another good one.
I despise “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” by Wham! but a lot of people like to dance to it. It’s the 80’s version of the Chicken Dance…
Gotta Go Home - Boney M
Ronnie Dee and Action packed
great Doo wop song,
but song might be have aged a bit, children could get strange looks singing that they want their girl to be gay and sweet
Kylie Minogue version of The Locomotion
