Two things. First, in terms of quality of education, cost and employment prospects, it’s hard to fault any of the Big Ten Universities’ law schools. Some are top quality but all are good.
Second, one of the selling points about a legal education is that it gives the graduate a wide range of career options out side the traditional practice of law. Unlike medical school where you have wasted years and thousands of dollars if you discover that you hate medicine, the law school grad has a myriad of options in business, banking, law enforcement, diplomacy, public administration, higher education, general bureaucratic work and Lord knows what else.
