We are watching Singing in the Rain again - and I love the “Moses Supposes” dance number. Especially the sidelong glaces Gene Kelly and Donald O’Conner give each other - “You keeping up?”
What are some other great musical dance numbers?

Singin’ in the Rain has several others – the title tune, and “Make 'Em Laugh” standing out.
Others:
The “Take Off With This” number in All That Jazz – probably the most erotic dance number ever committed to film.
“Lullabye of Broadway” and “42nd Street” – Busby Berkeley’s best.
I know this subject has been covered in this thread.
I’m not trying to be a hardass. The only reason I remember it was because it was one of the first threads I replied to.
I seem to remember that one (although the link isn’t working), but these are the kinds of things it never hurts to rehash.
(What were your search parameters - I can’t find it through search either)?
If you like musicals, I strongly suggest hunting down Lagaan, an Indian film nominated for a Best Foreign Language Film Academy Award. The story, the singing, and the dancing are incredible. I’m rooting for it to upset Amelie, and you all know how much I loved Amelie.
I love the Moses Supposes number from Singing in the Rain as well. It makes me happy.
Gene Kelly and Jerry the mouse in Anchors Away is a classic that gets better every time I watch it, from a time when combining live action and animation was truly a special effect.
I’m personally partial to “A Man Chases A Girl”, the Donald O’Connor number from There’s No Business Like Show Business in which the statues come to life.
Try number two (I’ll use preview to make sure it works).

I looked through all of my posts in IMHO (it was before Cafe Society).
