I agree. There are a couple other worthy songs here, but Pour Some Sugar on Me blows all of them away.

My younger brother used to listen to it every night at the time. I haven’t heard it since then but I’m pretty sure I still know all the songs by heart.

I refer to this particular style of music as “Butt Rock”
and this list is pretty damn rancid as well. Once again the Bangles of all bands get consideration.
Nothing really stands out for me but the song off this list that I associate most with 1988 is Aerosmith’s “Angel.” So guess which one I voted for?

As much as I like Hazy Shade, I don’t like the cover all that much.
It was between Pour Some Sugar on Me and Devil Inside. The first I’d have definitely said should have been a bigger hit in 1988, but for me, today, I’d rather hear Devil Inside. Really close, though.
I voted What have I Done…, but could also have gone with Hazy Shade…
This was tough. I love Def Leppard with much love, but I enjoy “Devil Inside” as a song better than “Pour Some Sugar” so I went with INXS.
