My brain says Purple Rain but my heart says She’s So Unusual…
Great music! I picked REM’s “Reckoning” – it’s my third favorite album of theirs. I like the not-quite-finished feel of several of its songs – “Harborcoat,” “Second Guessing,” especially “Letter Never Sent.” Just solid, simple, intimate-yet-joyous, under-the-radar songwriting.
“Harborcoat” is probably in my top 5 R.E.M. songs. Love the way Mills and Stipe sing completely different lines over each other.
“So. Central Rain” and “(Don’t Go Back To) Rockville” are my favorites from Reckoning.
