Best Restaurants in all Seattle

I’m working on a new site and I need some non biased reviews of the best three restaurants in Seattle. If anybody wants to add their input tell me about what you think the three best restaurants in Seattle are and why.

You can’t go wrong with The Met - fantastic service and food, amazing wine list. Very Pricey

Ivars on the waterfront is a wonderful local experience for delish seafood and views. Moderatlye pricey

Wild Ginger for consistently tasty asian fare. Average pricey

I’m a legal secretary downtown Seattle, so am making reservations for attys’ lunches all the time. And I’ve eaten at all three places and would recommend to anyone.

Okay thanks. Is Ivars basically a shoo in?

In my opinion, Tamarind Tree is the best restaurant in Seattle. They are an upscale combination of Vietnamese and more generic Asian fusion. Their desserts are amazing.

Edited to add: Everything they serve is amazing. I don’t know even know how to describe their food. It’s out of this world.

Bambino’s Pizza, 401 Cedar Street. Great pizza, plus $2 microbrews from 4 - 6 pm. Can’t beat that with a bat.

My picks:
Flying Fish (south Lake Union) - local seafood and produce, pan-Asian flavors, immaculately prepared and served. Also, excellent bar with both sweet and savory house cocktails.

Dragonfish (across from the Paramount) - Far-east (China/Japan/Thai) flavors, fresh sushi options, and small plate options so you can try a variety of stuff tapas style.

Tango (Capitol Hill) - Best Spanish tapas in Seattle, great bar selection. Try the meatballs!

I second Wild Ginger (but I’d already listed two Asian places!) but don’t think much of the Met. I find their steaks overbuttered and expensive. Ivar’s is good for a quick fish-n-chips hit, but they tend to overcook the seafood at their sit-down restaurants.

Really people …Ivars is not a “restaurant” but a feed lot for tourist waiting in the ferry line , or such.
The kitchen is horrible, the staff is inept if that the food is mediocre at best and they still don’t know how not to make a fish and chips with out dripping of the day old oil …

Great new place opened by "Amazon land " Cuoco Tom Douglas new venue …terrific and simple

Welcome to the boards, Jaron. I noticed you created more than one topic (about the same subjects) on a few of our boards. Usually just one will suffice, so I’ve merged them and moved the finished topic here, to Cafe Society.

Okay well They actually weren’t aalll the same. But it’s okay.

Jaron, welcome to the SDMB, we’re glad you’ve decided to join us.
