Being a Great Adventure land man all my life, never went to Rye Playland. In a week or so, I’m going up there with some friends.
I’ve looked at Rye Playland’s web site (Major rides), and wonder what other people think are the best rides (since Rye is NOT POP, but pay-per-ride instead).
My 4 year old loves the various little-kid rides (dragons, train, airplanes - all variants on a merry-go-round), and loves riding in the go carts with me.
Well, OK, but we’re a group of 30-somethings - any ideas what rides that you’d (as an adult) like?
Been awhile since I’ve been there, but don’t leave without gonig on the famous Dragon Coaster.
I haven’t been there in a while, but I very much enjoyed the Derby Racers. Apparently, it’s one of only 2 in existance. It’s basically a high speed merry go round, they go about 25mph, and you have to lean waaaay in, or you’ll be hanging on for your life. It tries to mimic the action of riding a real galloping horse.
