this post makes me think of the Blue Oyster Cult SNL skit where Christopher Walken keeps asking for “more cowbell”
~~Davy Jones
Ed Grimly rocks!!!
I’ve got a fever, and the only cure is more cow bell.
Stevie Nicks is the only rock-and-roll triangle player that comes to mind.
Hmmm… Doesn’t Neil Peart’s drumset include a triangle? Then he’d have to win, because he’s a robot.
That one’s easy: Ian Anderson. (Are there any OTHER rock & roll flute players?)
In answer to the OP, I’d have to say Traci Lords, who played Triangle in Johnny Depp’s band in the film Cry Baby.
Andy Kulberg, who’s credits with Seatrain were “Vocals, Bass, Flute”.
Jazz flutist Herbie Mann crossed over into jazz/rock fusion.
A lot of lesser known artists, too, or people like The Moody Blues who used a flute on a couple cuts.
WHOSE! DUH!!!
Just wanted to say I got stuck on the triangle after I cut myself with the symbols.
How about best rock and roll spoons? Or Stomach. Let me tell you, once you start slapping yourself, you can’t stop!
