I’ll throw in Bard’s Tale (C64), Fairy Tale Adventure (Amiga), Eye of the Beholder (PC), TES: Arena (PC) and Baldur’s Gate (PC). Haven’t played BG2 yet but I suspect it’ll be in the list. Two games that weren’t faves but deserve mention (cuz they haven’t been mentioned yet): Rage of Mages and Drakkan.
I used to play Deja Vu a whole heck of a lot on my old Mac 512k. Didn’t know is was on the NES. It must have been something in color. I never did figure out how to finish it though. And I haven’t been able to find an emulator. Oh well.
