Edmund Gwenn?
Ed Asner?
Richard Attenboro?
Tim Allen?
Other?
Billy Bob Thornton? :dubious:
Gotta go with Edmund Gwenn (he won an Oscar for pete’s sake!) for live acting, and Mickey Rooney for animated voiceover. Both are Santas I actuallly wouldn’t mind hanging out with (as opposed to one that’s too jolly or too serious).
Gwenn was fantastic, but I think that Tim Allen did a great job.
Edmund Gwynne was acting?!?!?!?
VCNJ~
Gwenn. No one comes close.
You might not think so if you saw this other Post-WWII gem of his: Apartment for Peggy, but if you saw his small role in Foreign Correspondent as a Cockney thug you’d know he was acting. He was convincing in all three roles. I hope he was doing more acting in Foreign Correspondent than in the other two …
I’ll second that. He was so good he was bad (or maybe visa versa)
