Best. sequel. Ever!!

This is what I meant to post but somehow I ended up substituting remake with sequal. Go figure.

Anyway, Young Guns was a so-so movie. Young Guns II rocked.

Young Guns the first was ok. The acting wasn’t great, the photography wasn’t great and the story wasn’t great. Young Guns II on the other hand had good to great acting (Emmilo(SP?) rocked as Bill the Kid), a great story which was somewhat based on a true story, beautifull photography and a great sound track. Young Guns II also had some nifty catch phrases such as “I’ll make ya Famous” and “You’re all a bunch of little Billy bastards.”

Anyway, this is the only sequel that I can think of that is better than the original.

Any other sequels that are better than the original?

Terminator 2 and Aliens, definitely. Even more impressive is that both original movies were also classics.

Hmm, ST2:WOK already mentioned…well, ST4:TVH blew away ST3:TSFS, and ST6:TUD was way better than ST5:TFF (then again, what isn’t?!?) Does that count? :smiley:

Technically, it’s a sequel to Red Dragon, which was first made as a movie in 1984 called “Manhunter”, and since remade as a movie released this year under the title “Red Dragon.”

Especially since Hannibal is supposed to be 20 years younger in RED DRAGON than he was in HANNIBAL yet has more wrinkles.

Rambo: First Blood Part II

Not sure if this counts, but Dogma was better than any of the previous movies with Jay and Silent Bob. Although the last one, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, was terrible.
