This brings to mind the song Amour[1], by the Warning, a Mexican band writing in English, and sticking some pretty good French lyrics into the middle of the song:

Translates as:
I love you forever /My heart is yours/I hate you/Love of my life/I am not lying/I adore you

I put this album on for the first time in a while yesterday, this lyric hit, and I thought “this is a killer of a metaphor to open a song with. I should post it to that thread on the SDMB!” I see that @Dr_Paprika has posted a lot of lines from this album in the thread and I support their inclusion. Paul Simon is a master, Graceland is one of the greatest albums ever, and pretty much every song in Simon’s catalog has evocative lyrics in one form or another.
