I am going on a trip in about 5 weeks and I want to invest in a very small video camera. It must also have a waterproof case available, as I will be white-water rafting part of the time.
I’ve been looking at the Flip video, and it’s fine on all counts except for the fact that you can’t swap in and out storage modules or anything to go over the 120 minutes of video storage available. I won’t have a PC or anything to offload video footage, and I’m afraid 2 hours may not be all that I want to shoot during the week. Are there other similar-size video cameras out there where this isn’t a problem? Or any suggestions how to handle it with the Flip?
Second, whichever camera I decide on, where is the best place to buy it? I’d rather avoid Best Buy and their ilk, and I have time to order online, if folks think that is the best approach. Price is less of an issue than not being hassled, but if there is a really good discount anywhere I’m game for it.
