Best song to crank till your ears hurt?

Some other songs to play at 11…

“Zombie” - Cranberries
“Lightning Crashes” - Live
“What’s the Frequency Kenneth” - REM (although most of the older would work well)
“Get a Gun” - Connells
“One” - U2…aww heck, most of U2…Angel of Harlem 'specially.

But most of all:

“Europa” - Santana…the live one of Moonflower.

lieu I’m with you…when Mrs. rundogrun and pup one and pup two are out of the house, I fire it up and turn it up and sit at the other end of the room against the wall.

So I’m now cranking Du Hast in my headphones, and I can see my coworkers singing along - apparently it’s still a little loud. This is good.

Now, to look at my playlist here at work and select the blastworthy pieces:

KMDFM - Juke Joint Jezebel
Rage Against The Machine - Wake Up
Queen - Princes of the Universe

And I’m disappointed that no one has said John Williams - Star Wars - the Imperial March. C’mon! It doesn’t get more blastworthy than that!

Ok, now my ears hurt too much to concentrate on work…

“Crazy Train” by Ozzy Osbourne
“Connceticut” by The Impossibles
“Suite-Pee” by S.O.A.D
and anything by Primus
~Kittie

Counting Crows - Mr. Jones
Ben Fold Five - Philosophy
Ghetto Boyz - Six Feet Deep
Lemonheads - Mrs. Robinson
Red Hot Chile Peppers - Aeroplane
Warren G - Regulate

I’m very diverse…

I would have picked Man in the Box myself.

I would have picked Man in the Box myself.

Chekmate, I’ve had Philosophy stuck in my head all day. Great song.

Guns N Roses - Pretty much the entire Appetite for Destruction album.
Walk - Pantera
Panama - Van Halen

And, as has been mentioned, any thing by AC/DC.

Anything by System of a Down

Anything off Celtic Frost “Morbid Tales”

“Ghost of Tom Joad” by Rage Against the Machine

Anything off Black Sabbath “Dehumanizer”

“Pussy Whipped” by Stormtroopers of Death

Zappo, the similarities in our tastes are beginning to frighten me.

I forgot Radar Love. That’s a must!

And nobody’s mentioning George Thorogood’s “Who Do You Love?”

Hey Vinny, great SOD reference

I would go with (a very diverse taste)
The Trooper - Iron Maiden
Creep and National Anthem - Radio Head
Thunder Road - Bruce
Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
Where The Streets Have No Name - U2
Last Cup of Sorrow - Faith No More
Ready To Go - ?? Not sure - some girl band
House of the Rising Sun - Damn I can 't think of their name!
There are more I am leaving out and many that have already been said. I’ll check back after I take a look at my CD collection.

Another vote for AC/DC - now I’ve got For Those About To Rock and Hell’s Bells blaring away…
Also, *Also Sprach Zarathustra * - you know, the 2001 theme.

House of the Rising Sun is by Eric Burdon and the Animals, IIRC.

Gustav Holst’s Mars, the Bringer of War from the Planets Suite. La Marseillaise (yes, the French National Anthem, and I know all the words in French too), Bolero by Maurice Ravel, Smoke On The Water by Deep Purple, and a lot of others.

Aiight, you chauvanist bastards…here’s what I crank in the van when I’ve left the husband and the kids at home…so there. Nyah.

Sevendust - Denial, Too Close to Hate, Black, Bitch

American Head Charge - Effigy 23, Irresponsible Hate Anthem, Reach and Touch, Never Get Caught, Pushing the Envelope

Okay, Geobabe, I’m with you on most of those. I’m surprised by all the industrial music references in here. “Thieves” by Ministry was a good one (and a killer song to see live!). I’ve got to say I love cranking up “Getting Closer” by Nitzer Ebb, and I could listen to the entire Front 242 Re:Boot cd cranked up to ohhhh, about 35 or so. I go over my fondness for Rammstein pretty quickly, they only lasted in my cd player about a week or so. I went to the public library one day, and when I heard a guy loading books into the Bookmobile jamming very loudly to “Engel”, I knew they had gone too mainstream for me.

Pearl Jam - Last Exit
Buzzcocks - Orgasm Addict
Iron Maiden - Purgatory
Iggy and the Stooges - Death Trip
Einsturzende Neubauten - Halber Mensch
Misfits - Teenagers From Mars/Children In Heat
Mudhoney - Hate the Police
Velvet Underground - I Heard Her Call My Name
