The first real union job I ever had (working for a telco company) I was given four pieces of advice by a union guy duing my union orientation meeting. It was said if I follow this advice, I’ll go far in the company.
Always arrive on-time
Always work scheduled shifts (and get them covered if you can’t)
Never talk to management without a union rep next to you.
The best time is at home, in your own bathroom. You know, with the soft lights, and the reading material, and the good TP.
And privacy.
Ideally, it would be after waking, but before the shower. However, in my case, a nice mug of tea gets things moving, but I put the kettle on, take my shower, then drink the tea, so…
Before the shower would be ideal, but as long as I’m at home, I’m happy. I hate to have to have an extended sit out in public. And that means at the office, too.
Because there’s nothing to read in there. And because I’m shy.
