So I guess I know what I will be doing next Saturday/Sunday.
However, as I mentioned in another thread, the winds were so high today (over 40 mph) that half of our outdoor decorations came crashing down, so I just kept them down and put them in the garage. Should make next week’s job a little faster and easier - thanks wind!

I took mine down the day after Christmas. My husband came home for lunch and most of Christmas was in a pile on the kitchen floor. We had a nooner, he went back to work, and upon returning home, Christmas was packed away neatly in bins and stored in the closet. Not a trace of it was left, except the stocking booty in the cupboard, and our new stuff neatly put away in it’s proper place.

Wow, can I come over next year around this time?
To all of you who take down your tree on the 26th:
This is a grim Calvinist act. You are all Scrooges. Do you also eat cold oatmeal all day and dress in a burlap sack? I’ll bet on New Year’s Eve you hand out hellfire tracts to revelers, then by 9 you’re home to a dark house, a meager ration and a hard bed.
