Best way to sell comic book collection?

Like the subject says…

Should I sell them on eBay or to a local (private?) collector? Should I sell the entire collection as a whole or should I scope out collectors looking for individual issues? If selling as a collection, should I ask face value? More? Less? How can I determine the collection/issue value? Any good websites to research?

FYI…I have a pretty complete colletion (including #1’s - Marvel, Epic, Eclipse) of Sergio Aragones’ “Groo the Wanderer”.

Thanks…

These threads answered some of my questions. Anyone else have more to add?

Do you have a listing of them somewhere, or could you email me when you do?

Thanks

smoke,

Your posted email address bounced.

Manny,

I’m not trying to sell these here, I swear. I’m really looking for advice. Which brings me to another (morbid) question: Should I wait until the artist dies? Will they be worth more then?

Thanks again…

“Dies”?!?!?

Did something bad happen to Sergio Aragones that I haven’t heard about?

Collectibles seem to fetch almost artificially high prices on e-bay.

If you’re looking for top dollar, it might not be a bad idea.

Nope…he’s fine. Just a general question regarding his work and it’s value before and after his death.

Comic book shops often have books on the estimated value of comics. I’m sure they are available to the public. I have seen them, but I cannot remember the name. Of course, the estimated value and what you could get for them may vary.

I would be interested in a book estimating the value of UK comics. Which I have nit seen in the U.S. Not to hijack, but I have the No. 1&2 Spiderman comic from UK., minus the free prize (1973). I would like to determine their worth.
