Best/Worst 2004

Best: Got my kitchen clean and some of the front lawn.

Worst: Did it alone with almost zero help from MrSnoopy.

Hey, thanks for your sacrifices – Folks complaining should take a look at what you’re dealing with. Wishing you the best and a safe homecoming.

Ah yes… 2004. What a year it has been so far.

Looking back, I remember the nine o’clock hour as though it were just this morning. I got up, had southern pecan flavoured coffee (yes, I have a demon), urinated, cleansed myself, sat around a lot, posted to the SDMB…

Then, early afternoon. How sad it was when my cell phone battery died (during a call!), but how grief turned to joy when I plugged it into the charger.

Then, late afternoon into the evening, when some friends asked me over and we played games, had a nice meal, and chatted.

Now, as 2004 draws to a close, well Day One anyways, I am left with a severe sense of what 2004 has meant to all of us.

Tomorrow is another day.

Best: Great sex with husband.
Worst: Went to Ikea to look for under-cabinet attachable hanging bin-like shelf, for putting boxes of snacks. Found nada. Went to Container Store and it was closed. Sulked.

Best - New Hoobastank album
Worst - Hang over on Thursday.

:smack: Sorry. Bad engleesh. Friend arranged a foursome with two other chicks, but can’t go, cos have to give time to bro. after all, family comes first.
mmmmmmmmmmm come (cum)

Well…So far:

Best Had a fantastic New Years Eve with friends

Worst While scraping snow off my car this morning I fell over on the ice and ended up in the ER. I am now sat here with my ankle strapped up with a splint on waiting to take my next painkillers and looking forward to an apointment with an orthopedic surgeon next week - oh and I am at work now as well.

Looking on the bright side I brightened up everyones day when they heard how I did it and they are all playing with my crutches

I have a cracked head.

I mean, my CAR has a cracked head. So I’ll get a new engine or a new used car, I guess. If this is the worst of 2004, I’ll be glad to get it over with early in the year.

Best: Mom still had some homemade cookies left when I got home.

Worst: There’s a leak somewhere in the roof of our glassed-in porch, causing a puddle to form on the rug whenever it rains. My socks have gotten wet several times when I accidentally stepped there.

I would check the flashing on the seam between the porch/enclosure roof and the main structure roof. Often not quite done good enough ('cause it’s a little difficult) but overlooked because it was an open porch at first. If it’s an added on enclosure, I’d check there first, too. because, as I mentioned, it can be a little difficult to get right.

btw, even if the water leak seems to be in the middle, it may still be the flashing because of how water likes to travel a certain path down the joists before dropping in drips.

Man, I’m thinking way too much about work…
