Now, don’t get me wrong, I didn’t expect it to be profound- or to even make all that much sense really- but it does seem like the translation is garbled a bit. Perhaps some trouble with informal turns of phrase and or slang?
The rules here prohibit posting lyrics in their entirety and I’m not sure if that would apply to Dopers’ own personal translations or not, so instead of asking anyone to provide a full translation I’ll just ask you to look at what Google Translate spit out and offer alternatives for anything that looks wrong.
I’ve numbered the lines for ease of discussion so that someone could say “a better translation of line 4 would be …”
and I can ask questions like “Regarding line 3, can jute be smoked or is it being used as a slang term for marijuana? Or is it meant to be something else entirely?”
So, looking at the linked translation, which lines can be clarified a bit?
Lines 1 and 6 are obvious.
Line 4 I’m guessing would be better read as “The vibrations (of the music) in the club make you horny”?
Line 5 is somewhat clear but it seems something’s just not coming across correctly.
Lines 2 and 7 just seem to be a mess.
ETA: Yes, I am familiar with the Bollock Brothers’ English language version of the song but their lyrics are clearly not a direct translation.
