False gods’ll do that to you, Scylla. (Not speaking of anyone in particular, you understand…)
Lots of Gods suffer a few Glitches, if I recall correctly…
It seems to me that these arguments could be equally reversed. I hate the Republican mindset as much as the next person. But the only thing the Democrats have given me to rally behind, however, is the fact that Republicans stink. Big deal. I’m starting to regret all the support I’ve given to the Gore camp. I believe some foul stuff went down and that Gore oughta be Pres. But to count and recount and sue and keep suing until he gets in the White House is silly.
Once again, the Dems have made a huge error. If Clinton would have just said in the beginning, ‘I did it, I’m sorry, let’s run the country,’ all of the shite would’ve been avoided. Same thing here. If Gore would just say, ‘okay, a slight majority of America believes I should be President, but it’s not worth all of this strife,’ I think this country could avoid a lot of crap.
When it comes down to it, Congress is divided. Whoever’s party gets elected will suffer greatly. Why must Democrats insist that they take the sacrifice? As is stands, Bush will move to Pennsylvania Avenue and he will be seen as the true idiot he is. The Republicans will carry his burdern, but Democrats won’t be able to capitalize as they should. After this mess they will look like the whining idiots they’ve always been accused of being, instead of sucking it up and giving the Republicans no ammunition. I mean, “Will of the People?” That’s just asking for it.
Attacking the bias of Republicans in Florida is one thing. There’s plenty of citations, even Bush’s relatives being inclusive of the FL governor and a former U.S. President/ CIA head. But to use the shining example of Democrats as fodder is ridiculous, not to mention useless.
Drank last night. Seeing double and hit the submit button first. Apologies for spelling and grammar.
So that explains the positions of all these Gore supporters! You’re all schnockered!
Mommy and Daddy don’t count.
You apparently have way too much time on your hands to post yet another troll for Republicans to show they can be as ignorant, bigoted, trifling and stupid as some Democrats, names witheld and only one that I know of. I don’t believe you will see the desired levels. I will offer a crow bar to separate said person’s head from Al’s ass. Said person might be able to think a bit more clearly without the scent of Al’s bowels all up in said person’s nose.
Bias: The Bush campaign wanting the election to honor the laws? No, that definition doesn’t quite fit. Though I, asa one who makes you sick thought it was wrong for Bush to try and stop the hand count that was provided for my local law.
Bias: The Gore campaign… we want you to follow this local law that provides for a hand count, but only in the counties that are likely to turn out a really good turn of votes in our benefit. We don’t want you to follow the local law that pertains to having a count certified 7 days after the election. There must be provisions to throw that law out… oh yes, here it is… the word may.
Oh, and lookie here, we want every mumble Democratic mumble vote to count.
WOW! Look! An extra 300 ballots that we, Democratic election workers, somehow didn’t count the first time around! Must be the Republican Party’s scheming somehow… yeah, they stole them and then snuck them back in the door, the majority of the votes for Gore, and why did they do this? I don’t know.
Oh, and Al offers a total hand recount of the State, hands being much less accurate than a machine count, and while he won’t file any other actions, he is certainly helping to finance the individual citizens who will sue for their rights until they get the desired outcome.
Every vote counts… yes, the machine counted every single ballot… twice, three times in some Counties. And while ballots of this style are used elsewhere, because this State and this County could provide a change in the outcome of the election, we are suddenly, with no past history of protest for these thousands of uncounted ballots, have a big bash in Florida. Let’s punch out some extra chads for Al! Want to protest something, protest the use of an inaccurate voting system in the computer age.
Well, the manual count is going on now. Those Counties that believe they can formulate an approvable reason for doing so will continue to do so. Those that cannot, will cease. BTW, a valid reason is not ‘Al Gore didn’t win’ Just in case you were confused.
Now, I wonder oh leftist queen, how you will react when/if Bush continues to carry Florida following manual recounts and the count of absentee ballots. Will you then bow down before King George the Second and kiss his feet, or will you still be so far up Al’s butt that you will push for more manual recounts and a few lawsuits for a revote?
Every vote must count until Al Gore wins!
Sorry, the sheer ignorance of this statement has already been beaten quite well, but I have to add another swing.
From this we can deduct that, in Stoidela’s World:
Only thieves have security systems on their homes and businesses.
Only murderers carry mace.
Any woman afraid of being raped has always wanted to rape a man.
Only tall people are afraid of heights.
The secret society of spider-changing-humans … well, you get the picture.
