Bible: Does Joseph (husband of Mary) say anything?

I don’t recall any quotes from him. God and others talk to him, but does he say anything?

He only has 2 lines iirc :

“Double room please”

and, upon being told that there is only a stable available :

“ok, i guess that’ll have to do”

Although both of these lines were cut in the final version.

He is mentioned in all four Gospels. No direct speech of his is reported, although a number of actions and decisions are attributed to him.

In the Gospel accounts he last features when Jesus is about 12. The inference is that, by the time of Jesus’s public ministry, Joseph had died.

I believe he also said, “God got you pregnant?! I suppose Moses gave you that hickey!”

Seriously though, if some omnipotent (omni potent, get it?) being banged your wife, what is there for you to say?

And if there WAS a real Joseph and your wife says some God or Spirit made her pregnant and tells everyone, then the snickers behind your back at being such a gullible fool would either make one into one quiet nutjob or one crazed anger problem.
(Oh, sorry, that would be taking the Bible literally. How silly of me.)

Quote: What was that babe, immaculate conception sure not a problem, now just be outta the house by the time I get home.

Stupid woman expecting a man to fall for that old line

Only one quote that I know of:

“I did not have sexual relations with that woman.”

"So…um…Mary. How big was it, exactly?

From The Late Sam Kinneson

“OK, but he’d better be the ONLY son of God.”
