Particularly now that he realizes that even if he loses, he can still claim victory and all his fans will believe him.
Not to mention it’s the best money-making scheme he’s ever discovered.
I think it might be the only money-making scheme he’s ever discovered.
Well, aside from the “inherit a bunch of money” scheme. That one worked pretty well.
Reasonably sure he didn’t discover that scheme. But it surely did find him anyway.
He discovered the casino biz… No, sorry That was a money losing scheme. Grifting those he’s lied to sounds like his big thing.
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
His daddy taught him well.
Since Trump is plannning to cheat, Biden’s popularity is a small consideration. I wouldn’t say “greatly increases.” Maybe slightly increases.
Not to jump on you. Saying a tiny factor is a big one seems a standard technique of the most respected (or best paid) pundits, left or right. So you’re in good company.
But he is not unpopular. Sure the 40% hate him. They hate Pelosi, Sanders, Harris and every other Dem who might run for President.
Assuming we buy the polls, the question then is whether voters who are soured on Joe are open-minded about it.
In as much as they think he was barely young enough before, and now is too old – no.
In as much as it has to do with the economy, who knows? If the sometimes forcasted recession comes, no. Then there is inflation, forcasted to go down. Both forcasts can easily be wrong, so this is a big maybe.
In as much as it has to do with a sense that Biden has drifted left, I think he will remain unpopular. The Supreme Court will likely give him oportunities to drift right with a strong respect-the-decision message, but Joe will probably (from my POV) muff it.
Of course, Trump is also unpopular. Were the GOP to instead nominate a governor, or maybe Tim Scott, I think they would be unbeatable. The same might be true of the Democrats, if they nominated a governor, or maybe John Tester, but they are unlikely to do it.
Well, at least Biden is doing better than Congress and the Supreme Court in public opinion polls:
“I suck a bit less than everyone else!”
(Sadly, that really is an accomplishment.)
Everyone else? Or just somebody else.
Some polls are worthless, because we should not give a rats ass about the MAGA hat wearing crowd who insists Biden wasn’t elected anyway.
I have shared this before-
It shows that of possible Democratic Candidates for prez in 2024, Biden wins solidly against them all. Buttigieg polls very poorly.
There could be a very popular candidate down the line that no ones aware of yet.
