How come no laugh track when they breathe?

You know, I just heard that in Sheldon’s voice.
. . . or the remote kissing thingie.

Maybe a little Hyperbole on the “Nearly Every”
But here is a SDMB search on “Laugh Track Sheldon”.
If not “Nearly Every”, the laugh track is mentioned frequently in TBBT threads.
Now that you mention it, you could hear a lot of comments on this board in Sheldon’s voice.
This episode was okay for me; I thought letting Amy down was a bit out of character for Sheldon, since we know that he does indeed honour agreements even when they don’t benefit him. I liked Penny’s line after Raj’s whiny outburst, though - “Now, that’s how a girl makes a scene!”
Okay this episode was pretty awesome. I am searching high and low for an isolated clip to Sheldon’s reaction to Star Wars.
I was impressed by Mayim Bialik’s technique in the quarters game! Unless that was somehow rigged, she was able to do that with enough reliability for comic timing!
According to a facebook posts of hers, she learned for the scene.
messed up? he discovered life on mars!
Pretty good episode. All the 7 major characters were actually used in a meaningful way, some enjoyable Penny/Amy interactions, including the always fun glance into Amy’s horrifyingly unpleasant childhood, and a secret skill.
And Penny was looking absolutely SLAMMING in those tight brown pants and yellow top.
I know it didn’t work out as expected between you and Wolowitz, but eventually you’re just going to have to pick up the pieces and move on.
This has me thinking of the coming attractions at the end of History of the World Part I.
Mama Wolowitz is now a stalker. I hope this means they aren’t going to ruin the gag and show her.
The episode had its moments but the characters are getting way too cartoonish.
Example: It’s been established that Sheldon hates buying gifts, BUT it’s also established he has a beloved Meemaw who wouldn’t be a whole lot younger than AFF’s aunt. He would NOT try and buy a gift for an old lady at a comic book store or a model train shop.
More likely he’d just give Amy money towards a gift, or if for some reason he was going to give one on his own he’d ask her “What does your aunt want?”
Also, you don’t have to be a geek or even a particular fan of either to know that there’s a HUGE difference in Star Wars and Star Trek. Just being alive 30 years in a non-Amish family you’re going to absorb the main differences: one is a series of movies and the other is a series-of-TV-series, one is about humans in the future and the other takes place “a long time ago in a galaxy far far away”- both in and of themselves fairly big differences.
At least they calmed it down with AFF’s Penny crush for an episode. I wonder if she’ll ever try to jump Sheldon’s bones.
That joke didn’t work for me. She checked the morgue before checking his friends’ place? Then banged on the door saying she knew he was there? And he said “that’s my ride”?
Just didn’t work for me. YMMV of course.
Yes, but he’s having a little bit of trouble letting go.
When Penny said that she didn’t mean it literally. She was saying “they are both geeky sci fi things and the difference need not concern us”.
As for Amy - her disfunction is far greater than not knowing pop culture references.
It’s a sitcom. This is how sitcoms operate.
There are millions of people who don’t know the difference. Just like there are people who don’t know the difference between Green Arrow and Green Lantern, or DC and Marvel, or Robert De Niro and Al Pacino.
and AFF would have been ripe for some comfort here.
Did anyone else notice that Raj was speaking in the presence of females? How long has this been going on? I thought he was still selectively mute when women were around, but he was talking while Bernadette was there, and he threw a hissy fit after Penny and Amy showed up. I don’t recall alcohol being on the list of beverages they had on hand, and his personality usually undergoes a major change that I didn’t notice when he’s drunk.
