I’ve noticed a disturbing trend in food advertising: Putting oversized pictures on the food containers. I’m thinking this is not going to get the desired effect. First of all, people who actually think the food is that big are going to be pissed when they open the container. Second of all, seeing food magnified 10x is not appetizing.
There’s a company that makes all kinds of chicken products, (rhymes with bison). They’ve recently redone all their packaging, new brighter colors on the packages and overblown pictures of the contents. Now when I pick up a bag of nuggets, the bag itself tells me they’ve gone way past the nugget stage, and I’m going to be feeding my family something that looks more like deep fried kittens.
Then there’s the canned pinto beans, I’m not sure of the brand because I’ve never gotten close enough to read the label. These beans are not of nature, but from your darkest nightmares. One word comes to mind when I have to venture into the canned vegie isle… TOES!.. disembodied toes without toenails, floating in their own juices.
What? Those aren’t toe-nail free toes soaked in their own juices! Darn it. Oh, we illiterate suffer so when packaging pix lie to our graphic-dependent selves.
Wouldnt that be KFC? With their track record I would not be suprised to see that someone had opened their Bucket-o-fat to discover a crispie kitty in there nestled amoung the side dishes.
Well, dread, in your case you would probably stomp it first. Being that you are an insensative Clod, and you probably would want to deep fry someones pet.
