What is with the really big wooden forks and spoons that are used as wall decorations in some resturants. Did they ever have any use? Did they need them for big salads or what??
You mean regular oversize wooden salad-mixing forks and spoons, or the ones about 2 or 3 feet long? The Godzilla-sized ones are purely decorative.
(P.S. So are the giant lobsters on the walls down at Bob’s Seafood. They’re plastic. )
I have to share this little bit of local flavor:
Here in Charlotte, there’s an eatery called “The Knife and Fork” which has on their sign a giant (we’re talking probably 8-12 feet long) pair of utensils.
These, too, are decorative.
