What have been the biggest corruption exposés in modern times (~1900 AD)?
In India, it was reported today that a former Chief Minister of the state of Punjab, alongwith his family, of having assets worth Rs. 4236 crores ( works out to USD 924 million !!!).
Leaving aside the question of whether the figure is a political contrivance, have there been any cases of verified exposés at this scale?

Similarly, the Junk Bond Collapse of the 1980s was the downfall of a lot of different groups all doing the same thing as well.

No question that $US 924 million is a pretty good haul, it just doesn’t make it into the record books as the crime of the century.
