They didn’t do anything to Deanna; that timeline didn’t happen
Nevermind. I see you already explained it. I could have sworn there were only a couple posts after yours. Maybe I left the thread open for a long time or something.
And I agree it would have looked better. I’ve had to fanwank it, as it really seems like the thing grows forward in time in each of the timelines. As in, it was going forward in time and then would jump back. Why else did they have to hurry and stop it? Their lives should have been wiped out retroactively.
Are you kidding? The Sopranos’ ending was brilliant.
That ending took me by surprise. It was set up though, so it’s not as though they just decided to cut to black because they were out of ideas. They spelled out what it meant well in advance, and I hold it as one of the better series finales.
I still object that LOST failed to even TRY to deliver on the mysteries, and that I was roped into watching six seasons worth of a Lifetime movie. There were mysteries, some sci-fi, and in the end it’s all swelling orchestral music and hugs and kisses in the afterlife filmed in soft fuzzy focus. Bah. I haven’t voted in the poll yet, but I just talked myself into it.
I voted Other, and choose Farscape.
Farscape was cancelled after the end of season 4. The season 4 finale had been shot. With a little editing (literally hacking off the last 30 seconds or so of the season, now series, finale), we could have been left with a happy, satisfying ending. Instead, we have the two main characters disintegrated. Turns out they weren’t disintegrated, just dehydrated, and could be collected and rehydrated. It was as if the writers were demanding a TV movie from SciFi (“You guys green light so many crap movies, you’ll green light ours or face the fans revolt”).
I looked this up at IMDB, and it doesn’t look familiar to me. We get a chance to review it Friday at midnight CDT on WGN.
Oops, that might be Thursday night - gotta verify.
Looks like it is on both nights, then the series resets Monday night.
I’m sure my vote for BSG doesn’t surprise anybody. “God did it” + “Let’s mothball all our technology and go live like hunter-gatherers” + Starbuck vanishes into thin air + no answers to multiple questions =** GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR OAK SMASH!**.
