Bill Paxton died

Hope they win. We lost a friend.

Is there reason to believe the doctor or hospital did something wrong?

Death in surgery is a small risk but a real one, and it doesn’t automatically mean the doc screwed up.

From what I read, the surgeon used a procedure that wasn’t agreed on.

I rather doubt that, given all his well known movie work. Even cameos, like Terminator.

At least that’s what the family is saying. I haven’t found any details on what procedure was ‘unconventional’ procedure was used. Nothing to detail exactly what it was, unless it is further detailed in the suit.

That article’s first sentence really should read: “The lawyers of Bill Paxton’s family believe his death last year was preventable, according to a wrongful death lawsuit…”

Somebody here is smelling a big payout.

When I saw this thread had been bumped, I wondered if he had died again!

Just like Generalissimo Francisco Franco, Bill Paxton is… well, you know.

Damn, I liked him too.

Well, bye Bill, I loved your work. Thank you for your art.:frowning:

Zombie Paxton is a terrifying thought. <shudder>

I’ve honestly never heard of Big Love before this thread, but I know who Bill Paxton is from lots of stuff.

I actually said to myself, “Wait, I thought he died a little bit ago. That must have been Bill Pullman. Shit. Both of 'em dead now? Will Patton better watch his back!.”

I’m pleased to see that Mr. Pullman and Mr. Patton are still with us.

“Game over, man. Game over.”

I’ll always remember him as big brother Chet in Weird Science.

I was a kind-of recurring extra, as a “sister-wife” on Big Love, and I will always remember Bill Paxton as being pleasant, kind and welcoming. After the first few times I worked, he would always smile and wave and say hi whenever he saw me. It sounds like a little thing, but it meant a lot in a world where background actors are mostly ignored by the principals.
