Bim Bam Boom (The Forbidden Zone)

Does anyone remember the film The Forbidden Zone? I’m talking about the one where Herve Villachiez plays King Fausto of the 6th dimension and Danny Elfman plays Satan (backed up by The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo).

There’s a scene where Frenchy Hercules falls into The Forbidden Zone and shortly thereafter dances with Bustrod (the giant frog). While they’re dancing, there’s a guy wearing Mickey Mouse ears who is “singing” a rhumba. (Actually, there is a singer’s mouth superimposed over his mouth.)

The song starts out “Bim bam boom, bim bam boom” followed by Spanish lyrics.

  1. What is the proper name of that song?

  2. Who performed it?

  3. What are the lyrics?

  4. When the hack are they going to re-release The Forbidden Zone?

Bim Bam Boom
Composed by Nino Morales/Johnny Comacho in 1943.
Performed on the soundtrack (available at Amazon) by the Kipper Kids.
NI couldn’t find a link to the lyrics.
No idea if or when it’ll be re-released.
The song has apparently also been performed by Percy Faith, and various Doo-Wop groups, such as The Eldorados.

Thanks, PW!
