Bit parts when they were not so famous

Thora Birch played Sally Ryan in Patriot Games.

Robin

The hot Milla Jovovich was once on Married With Children!

I’m bothered by a bit of information that will not come out of the corners of my mind. In Malcolm X, the reporter who interviews Malcolm after his house is firebombed was someone I recognized. When I rewatched the movie, I remember being suprised by the actor playing the part but problem is I don’t remember who that was. Anyone have the DVD?

IMDB will do just as well. One of the two reporters was Michael Imperioli of The Sopranos. The other reporter’s name is Steve Stapenhorst. I’m guessing it was Imperioli you recognized, unless you have an eye for bit players.

That was it. Thanks. I looked at IMDB but the cast was rather long and I didn’t pick up the name.

Harrison Ford wasn’t Famous in 1982? That was the year Blade Runner was released. Of course that was hot on the heels of Raiders of the Lost Arc and ESB. It is safe to say that he was a known commodity in 1982.

I mentioned this in anothr thread, but it applies here as well. Keira Knightley was the decoy princess in The Phantom Menace.

Appointment with Danger, a film-noir movie, includes Jack Webb (Dragnet) and Harry Morgan (Dragnet, MASH) as a pair of cold-blooded killers. It’s a bit of a shock to see Sgt. Joe Friday playing a psychotic killer who kills his partner with a pair of bronzed baby shoes.

And as Gordon Lachance’s older brother in Stand By Me.

No, that’s not him. He’s the guy telling Han Solo that they’re having trouble adapting the speeders to the cold, which is why Han goes out on a tauntaun instead.

Really? According to the IMDb, it was Richard Swingler.
