I’ll tell you what works to keep dry skin moisturized, but it doesn’t smell so nice. I recommend it only for those who spend a lot of time alone: Bag Balm. It’s made to put on a cow’s teats to give her some relief from soreness. When the farmers started using it, their own hands got really soft. You can get it in some drugstores or order it from Vermont Country Store. Just look for the green tin with udders and roses on it.
In the 1960s white girls often used coco butter as a substitute for suntan lotion. That and baby oil. We didn’t know any better and they both smelled so good.
