BlackBerry Storm apps?

I am getting my wife’s BB Storm (“I’ve got this phone with all the gadgets and shit, and I don’t use any of it. You want to use it?” and I’m curious about a few things…

1- I had (briefly) an old Palm that I was using as an e-book reader. Is there a good e-book reader app for the BB Storm? Preferably something that doesn’t require me to keep paying, but something I pay for once, load, and am good to go with forever.

2- Any other good apps you can suggest? Games are always good.

I use mobipocket for my bb storm. The app was free I believe. I have only used it on purchased books though. If you get it, there is a configureation change you have to make so it works well in landscape (I’d have to look into it again).

I also purchased Garmin Mobil. It about $100 one time fee. So far, it works great. Lots of little perks with it. Though I have to say, my other GPS is for hiking, also a Garmin, so I don’t have a lot to compare it to.

thank you enipla!

Any other suggestions? I guess this is a bump, hoping to catch the daytime folks…

Hijack: I sooo want a BB Storm. Anyone know if it’ll *ever *come to T-Mobile? I’m satisfied with their service and don’t want to change if waiting a few months will get me what I want.

Crackberry.com - there are forums just for the Storm.

Another silly suggestion… the Storm does have buttons. Learn how to hold it. I use it mostly as a pda. I have the buttons down or to the right. When it goes in my holster the screen is next to me, and buttons back. It seems silly but makes a big difference IMHO. When you need to get it, you know how you are holding it. This stymied my for a bit.

I am 48 and starting to have some eyesight issues. I need reading glasses even with the storm. But it’s great. No need for a reading light. I can adjust the font and contrast to anything I want. Got 10 minutes to kill? Hit the mobipocket icon and up it comes just where I left off.

You have to learn how to use its tools. The calander is great. I now use it for all events. Even work. So is the alarm.

Oh, and I have some 300 songs on it, and a Video of my Wifes IronMan race. And 40 or so pictures that I keep snapping. It is not that great of a camera. But with a bit of practice, it does ok. I’ve even posted pictures on the SDMB from it. I’ll have to look for that link.
