Blair hit by another cabinet resignation (war-related)

Not entirely a surprise, but the former Foreign Secretary and current Leader of the House of Commons, Robin Cook, has resigned from Tony Blair’s cabinet in protest. In other developments, more Labour MPs are expected to vote against the government line than the 122 who’ve already rebelled once.

“Another” cabinet resignation? That’ll teach me to think first and post later. Clare Short is likely to go too, but hasn’t actually done so yet.

Something tells me it’ll take more than the departure of a gingery bearded right-wing gnome to stop our Dear Leader letting slip the dogs of war.

A tad late, but still: good on him.
