Blair Witch not an orig. idea

This is my first post so please forgive me if this has been discussed before.

I recently came across a film called “Cannibal Holocaust” It was made in the mid-70’s and the film is based on footage found years later after the original film crew was murdered. Of course it was all totally bogus.

The film was dubbed a “Video Nasty” because of it’s graphic violence. It goes to show that no idea is original.

Does anyone else have info on Cannibal Holocaust"

Actually, there was an independant movie called The Last Broadcast made in 1998, before The Blair Witch Project, which gives a documentary-type account of the murder and/or disapperance of three youths in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey searching for the Jersey Devil. A fourth youth is the only one to return alive, and is subsequently arrested.
Fangoria magazine had a big article about it two issues or so ago. :slight_smile:
