Wow, I loved that show! Few people seem to remember it.
As far as “Bless This Mess,” I wonder if somehow Ellen Degeneris is involved. She has Dax Shepard on her show almost weekly.
Just watched the third episode. Highlights: Trying to win over a bunch of token smack-talking punks, freaking out over the process by which one actually obtains meat from farm animals, whole lotta spastic flailing, an annoying overbearing mother (because no matter how many millions of times we see that it never gets old :rolleyes:), an honest-to-god attempt to win over Rudy (whom apparently they’ve just accepted that he’s going to be a useless intrusive squatter and nobody can do anything about it)…aaaaand “short shorts” being said roughly 5,000 times. :smack:
I’m done. There is nothing here. I can’t remember any alleged comedy that was so completely devoid of entertainment value. Even Married With Children had its moments.
I liked the length of those shorts.
I also liked the chicken-naming. I have chickens myself, so I fully got the futility and fun of it.
And yeah…that was it. I don’t care if I never see another minute of this show.
If the two lead actors had a smidge of talent between them and the writers had any talent and originality, this would be a stupid, boring show. As it is, it’s even worse. Two was all I could stand. Hard pass on the rest.
It had “Urethra!” moments.
