Yes it’s true. The inverted pyramid of piffle turned out to be true and the Tories’ finest got caught in a pants-down situation with Petsy Wyatt (she’s not much is she?).
What now for the bumbler from Henley? Is there a way back for him?
I hope so as I think he adds to the gaiety of the nation.
Sadly, I think that Boris’s days as a politician at least *attempting *to be taken seriously are over. Unless he has an affair with John Major now of course.
I was listening to some guy on SKY News yesterday (sorry can’t remember who) who still reckoned Boris could be party leader someday, if he cut out the buffoonery. I’m dubious at best.
What this feels like to me is that Howard has realised that Boris is the best known, and by far the best liked, Tory and doesn’t like playing second fiddle to “Boris the Bonker” and has taken this opportunity to take the wind out of his sails.
It will be interesting to see what happens at the Speccie too as the Barclay brothers tend to take a dim view of off-piste wick-dipping.
I still hope he gets to be PM though- if only to see him address Congress/The UN etc.
