I finally realized how addicted to this game I am. Being out of town, I can’t get my Blitzkrieg fix and it’s driving me nuts! I’ve never been a big RTS player but my interest in WW2 equipment and tactics have me hooked on this game. Last time I played, I used massed artillery to punch a hole through German lines and overrun German artillery units with my T-34s. I figured Zhukov would have been proud.
I played it a loooooong time ago, and liked it. Sometimes I felt I could actually hear the tank treads clanking along, and the 88mm guns booming…
I like it much better than Codename Panzers. Much more challenging. Can’t seem to keep my infantry alive, however, and why do they keep rushing into battle when I pull them back? I bought the anthology a month or so back and I’m up to Burning Horizons. Very addictive. Some of the scenarios are a little repetitive, but I like the campaigns and historical missions.
Any game recommnedations for when I’m through all the Blitzkreig?
Blitzkrieg II 
Thanks for the heads up, I didn’t even realize there was a BK II! Is it essentially the same gameplay? A quick peek at CDV’s website seems to indicate it is. Plus while there I noticed additional expansion packs for BKI. May be awhile before I even get to BKII. Maybe by then they will have an anthology for BKII and I can get that.
There is a website which I will look up that contains player produced mods for Blitzkrieg. They include WWI and post WWII scenarious and a multitude of different campaigns for WW2 including a Berlin scenario which has a map of the city to fight on. There are also updates such as a file which removes the B-29 from the American arsenal and replaced it with a B-17 as the B-29 was used in Asia and not as ground support in Europe.
As far as I know, BK2 also has campaigns involving battle with Japan. I don’t have it but plan on purchasing it in the near future.
