Well…

Those aren’t the real Americans!
I didn’t “like” “respect” or “trust” the alternative either.
This may surprise you, but I don’t have to “own” or “apologize” for jack shit just because you say so.
The interesting thing in that poll, from my point view, is that there’s still a lot of anger towards the establishment. Congress opinion numbers are still super low. The view of the Republican and Democrat parties are both unfavorable both overall and to independents. It is interesting that Trump’s opinion numbers are pretty bad; however, people are slightly more optimistic than pessimistic about his upcoming presidency; however, people think he will be a worse president than Obama. Most of it seems to stem from a belief that Trump will help the economy.
I still find this shocking. Those voters had to be at least peripherally aware that Trump is famous for stiffing his suppliers and contractors and for repeatedly declaring bankruptcy, thereby stiffing his investors. They had to know that he was born rich—and basically would be richer today if the money his father gave him had simply been invested in a decent index mutual fund.
How all those voters could think that Trump had an interest in helping the US economy (or indeed the skills to do so) is astonishing.
I suppose it’s a tribute to statistics: half the population of any nation must, by definition, have IQs that fall below the median IQ of that nation.
Not because anyone said so, but because you did it.
Failing that, his tongue might burn with fire if he dares speak the Worship Words.
I intend to spend the next four or eight years working to advance causes that are important to me. I expect to make a good bit of progress in some areas. I’ve got no intention of ‘working to limit’ what you perceive as damage unless it happens to align with my views. Typically, it does not.
