Blood sucking leech fucks: Gotta love our lawyers.

My son was raped by our Parish Priest…My Lawyer made it his mission to de-frock this rapist and put him behind bars, then go after the Vatican itself to call on all Cardinals to tell there Bishops to make sure men like this across out country never get the chance to do this again…So I Love my LAWYER for doing that…

Then,
A burglar breaks into my house and scares the shit out of my little daughter as he breaks in her window, I find him, drag him out in the living room, proceed to kick the snot out of him and he ends up breaking his leg falling down my front porch stairs. A few weeks later I get a phone call from said burglars’ Lawyer saying I am being sued for assault to his client the burglar.
What the fuck I think? Could this be? I hate lawyers now.

Today, I hear an atheists’ daughter is hurt by saying Under-God in the Pledge of Allegiance. This Schmuck calls his Lawyer and he says “…hell lets sue the shit out of the school district and see how far we can get in court…it’ll be fun…” Atheist says, “Cool…lets do it…”
There’s strike two against Lawyers they are losing mass amounts of ability points in my book.
I am an American Citizen. I grew up, went to public school, said the Pledge everyday, put my hand over my heart while I did it, and knew at an early age why I was saying it… If kids don’t want to say ‘God’ because their parents are teaching them there is no God, fine, this is a gloriously free country, skip that word and don’t say it…
Seems easy enough right? But no, lets call our Lawyer honey and sue those horrible people for making our daughter say God. Lets make this country go down the shitter real quick. So when young atheist grows up she can become a vampire and continue our free speech legacy! Freedom is nice, I’d fight for it, but this is fucking bullshit.

**FUCK YOU LAWYER TRASH. AND BY THE WAY, THANK YOU FOR HELPING MY SON! **

:smack:

**incidently the first two vignettes are ficticious.
–> and this just in, Judge who upheld this verdict know ruled on his own ruling saying it is prohibited from being carried out…not 24 hours before he was pretty slam happy with that gavel…

Okay. The first two vignettes are fictitious. So what’s the point of including them here?

I understand that you are upset that we atheists don’t care for the use of “Under God” in the pledge. A few things to keep in mind:

Those words weren’t in there until the Eisenhower administration. They weren’t something our Founding Fathers added.

If the words are taken out, they won’t be replaced with “And God doesn’t exist”. They’ll just be taken out, and the Pledge will be neutral with regards to religion once again. This is how things are supposed to be in the U.S. The government cannot and should not stop you from believing in God, but it cannot and should not force atheists to say they do. (Incidentally, it was decided in a 1940’s court case brought by a Jehovah’s Witness that forcing ANYONE to say the pledge is unconstitutional. The school was wrong to have mandatory PoA in any case.)

So your kids won’t be pledging allegience to God in school anymore if this ruling sticks. They can still do that at home…actually, they still can at school. It’s just that no one can MAKE them pledge allegience to God, or Allah, or Vishnu, or Satan. Which, in the long run, is good for everybody.
