Beating a dead horse and beating off a dead horse are two very different things, David.

A 30% reduction in Heart problems (as found in the Nebraska study) is pretty good, but a 1997 Finnish study found an 86% reduction in rates of myocardial infarction among donors compared with non-donors.

I wondered how quickly people would jump on the “beating off a dead horse” phrase! (didn’t take long!)
