I’m talking about the spiky rubber balls (they come in pairs) that are intended for use in the dryer.
Descriptions say they eliminate the need for fabric softener as they bounce around in the dryer, also reducing static cling. So here’s the GQ: how exactly could/does a rubber spiky ball in the dryer perform those tasks?
Anybody have these? I’ve seen them priced from $6 - $11 and think that if they work they would be a neat thing to have.
The standard advice on washing and drying a down-filled coat is to machine dry the coat with a couple of tennis balls to fluff and massage the coat. I think those are cheaper than the spiky rubber things.
