Yes, so-called “dry aged beef” is cold-stored until the outer layers are dried out, cracked and rotten,then carved down to the “good” meat remaining. I’ve had it. Not worth the cost, IMHO.

Anyway, I think the tweets about Obama tapping Trump’s phones are a good example of what I am trying to sort of express/bring into view. heh. Trump can’t blame the media for creating this, it comes straight from him. And it goes straight to the headlines. It fills up a lot of column inches and air time that might otherwise be devoted to policy discussion that actually matters, so- is that the purpose? Trump seems at least somewhat unsteady regardless, but I can’t help wondering if there is more to the motive for it beyond some combination of poor judgment, ignorance and lack of impulse control.

It is the mighty lingcod. As noted about 1 in 5 are that weird blue color and though that first photo is the sort of pale blue I remember seeing most often, they can get very blue. They’re absolutely voracious monsters - I caught one as a “hitchhiker” once. It had grabbed a smaller ( though still a few pounds ) rockfish I had hooked and was reeling in and refused to let go even though it wasn’t hooked itself.
