blue/red cream soda...difference?

I have two large bottles, one red cream, one blue cream, would anyone care to explain the difference (save colour) flavor and whatnot…?

BLUE cream soda? Why, that’s just not natural.

In my experience, there really isn’t any difference except for the color. Haven’t had cream soda in years, though. Wikipedia suggests that it can come in a variety of colors, but the predominant flavoring is still vanilla. There could be some difference between brands with different colors, but I’ve never noticed much. They’ve all tasted cream soda-y to me.

ETA: ZipperJJ, I don’t particularly see how red cream soda is natural, either, but there it is.

Barqs Red Cream Soda is the best, and seems to have a slightly cherry taste to me. I’ve never heard of blue cream soda before.

(Alterna-joke for older nerds: They’re both the same but you can drink the red one twice.)

That’s one thing I miss about New Orleans. Don’t think I’ve ever seen the stuff anywhere else.

I have, however, had blue cream here; I belive it was a Nehi.
