If it doesn’t work for your use case, so be it. If you don’t like EVs, that’s ok. You’re still being a massive dickhead with your “real car” rhetoric and by making ignorant claims like that it takes several hours to charge.
It was a legitimate answer to the question posed in the OP of that other thread. I stated that I have no plans to buy an EV, and I think I explained very well, why.
Others didn’t like my opinion, and attacked me for it.
This isn’t the first time that I have experienced this behavior, on this forum.
You seem to have a very big problem with anyone who expresses legitimate opinions, with which you disagree. The sort of censorship and anti-intellectualism practiced on this forum is wildly at odds with the purported basis of this forum.

Here in California, they passed a law that if allowed to stand, will ban the sale of all new real cars in the state starting in 2035.
If EVs were really so good, there would be no reason to pass a law against real cars. If EVs were really better than real cars, or even nearly as good, people would buy them voluntarily, without the need to force them by law.
No law was ever needed to force people to switch to cars instead of horses. The point was reached where cars were more practical than horses, so people started buying cars instead of horses.
I drive an electric car as a taxi. It’s almost charged now and say “range 334 km”. That would be cirka 200 miles and should be enough for an 80 miles round trip. The only thing necessary is better infrastructure. Here in Copenhagen there are lots of chargers on the street, so privately owned EVs can easily charge. Many big workplaces have chargers too.
Economic incentives are used all the time to get people and corporations to do things that are to the betterment of society and the earth.

I have no plans to buy a pickup truck. They are fuel inefficient, I don’t transport cargo, and they don’t handle well compared to a car. Therefore, pickup trucks should be banned and no one should buy them.

I have never expressed an opinion that EVs should be banned. For those who find an EV to meet their needs, better than a real car, I am all in favor of allowing them to make that choice.
What I most object to is that those who most support EVs want to deny me the choice to buy and own a real car that much better serves my needs. The law is already in place, here in California, that will ban the sale of all new real cars, starting in 2035; and there are efforts to pass similar laws in other states.
As I stated before, if the point is ever reached that EVs are as practical as real cars, there will be no purpose for a law to force people out of real cars, and into EVs; people will choose to buy them of their own free choice, when doing so becomes a reasonable choice.
Again, I had a perfectly valid opinion, for which I was attacked, and punished. If the opposing opinion was as valid as mine, then thee would have been no reason to treat me so badly for having expressed my opinion. As it stands, I am now prohibited on this forum from saying anything about the subject of that opinion, which is prima facie proof that those responsible for imposing this on me know damn well that the are full of solid digestive waste.
No valid opinion ever needs to cheat by suppressing the expression of opposing opinions.
