I don’t know if Clampett’s (either Bob or Ted) version would have really been that great but it definitely had potential. I would have liked to see it…

I’m actually not surprised something like this was tried in the '30s. There was quite a bit of experimentation going on in animation (as well as live action film) that never went anywhere because there was so little money to make anything outside the studio system, and almost no way to get it shown.
Well, to each his own. I agree The Incredibles was entertaining but not all that (my favorite part was actually the “2-D” animation at the end), but I thought Nemo was their best non-Toy Story feature, and those were both very good films). The rat and monster movies didn’t do much for me, and I took passes on the bugs and cars.
